A friend in the industry described motion graphics as “unknowable”, which I would say is a fairly accurate simplification.

The further I go into understanding this aspect of the universe - exploring how to fulfill humanity’s instinctual need for communications large and small with mediums that not only share important messages across any language, but also play to our desires for beauty, order, dazzlement, play, clarity, and flow, that inexplicable magic of creation - and how to apply it to modern narratives that matter… it’s a limitless rabbit hole that I’m still finding my niche within. Just like that sentence.

What first enamored me about motion graphics was the ability to take art irl and transform it in the digital. I grew up exploring creativity with doodling, drawing, paper craft, painting and photography. A few crude claymations were my intro to animation, and since my formal education, I have been pursing mastery of many mediums - a broad spectrum of illustrative and typographic endeavors with 2D and 3D executions.

Regardless of the medium, what brings me the most joy is simply helping people. The projects where I succeeding in helping my clients better understand their own purpose in the world and how to make it a better place, even if it was just through a little bit of Morganization, have brought me great fulfilment.

I’m currently continuing to work on small design/animation projects while I figure out the next steps. Everything I’ve learned so far will be invaluable for the future.
